Nextek is an engineering-driven electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company with a highly experienced staff of engineers providing analytical, product, process and test engineering services that are used in prototyping, production CCA, and box build service lines. Our engineering team has in-depth experience, in particular in support of aerospace/defense, healthcare/medical, and industrial companies.


PCB DESIGN
We have extensive experience in high-density, high-layer count micro via designs. Our design expertise includes power supply, digital, analog, mixed signal, and high-speed applications. The design engineering staff is responsible internally for DFMs, PCB panelization, and technical support as it applies to design. The design engineers also provide PCB layout services that take a design from schematic capture and BOM to a finished PCB. Our primary design tool sets are Cadence Allegro and Mentor Graphics Expedition.

 

ANALYTICAL ENGINEERING
Our analytical engineering services are performed daily in our on-site, state-of-the-art analytical lab and include:

  • Component analysis
  • Destructive & virtual cross sections
  • SEM/EDX analysis
  • Root cause failure analysis (destructive & non destructive)
  • Ionograph
  • 3D x-ray laminography

 

PRODUCT ENGINEERING
Product engineering is the primary technical interface for a given customer's product. Our product engineers scrub the customer's CAD and BOM data using Aegis Checkpoint Software, then create a product flow for each assembly using Aegis Circuit Cam software. This electronic data is then reviewed by each of our manufacturing, quality, and program teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

Nextek engineers also develop and procure tooling for each product build, including stencils, pallets, and fixtures. Programming for our Pick and Place machines is also generated by the product engineering group, as well as programming for the AOI systems. Additionally, this group is responsible for the first article verification on each customer's assemblies, and are the primary support for manufacturing on all technical issues
